Officials said a man died in a house fire on the city's east side early Friday morning.

A federal jury on Thursday acquitted the former chief financial officer of the Cleveland Catholic Diocese of skimming $784,000 from the church through an elaborate kickback scheme.

The replacement of the Lewis Road Bridge will begin at 7 a.m. Monday, July 7. Lewis Road will be closed to through traffic between Cedar Point Road and Spafford Road.
